Bond It are a sealant and adhesive manufacturer, based in Yorkshire. Feature Media have produced several films for Bond It and we were approached again to produce a promotional video, which they wanted primarily to show at exhibitions in the Middle East, Austrailia and the US.
Bond It already had an idea of what they wanted to say but needed support to structure it in an engaging and succinct way. We worked with them to identify key themes such as Quality, Size and Innovation, and made sure that these could be expressed not just in the script but also visually through our pre-production services.
We spent two days filming on site and one day in the studio. The complex nature of the shoot meant storyboarding was essential. The scheduling was as important for a busy manufacturing plant, it was vital that the shoot was well organised and minimised impact on their operations. We used a jib, a mix of cameras and used a slider with a motorized head, which creates a moving timelapse. Streak filters were also used to create lighting effects, as seen in big movies and music videos – giving an epic feel.
During the post-production phase we used 3d graphics and compositing – allowing us to add quality accreditations to video footage, using motion tracking. Making them part of the video world, rather than just overlaying them on screen.
Bond It are currently using the video in exhibitions and on their YouTube channel. They also have a version for tablets so that their sales teams can use it in the field. They are waiting for their new website to be developed before embedding it there.
